Descripción:Dimethyl 2-fluoropropanedioate is a compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer properties. It has been found to inhibit the synthesis of malonic acid and carbonyl groups in various types of cancer cells. The x-ray crystal structure of this compound shows that it has a 5-membered heteroaryl ring with a methyl group on one side and an allyl group on the other. It also inhibits protease activity, which can be used as an antimicrobial agent. This compound is used to treat skin cancers, bone cancers, and cervical cancer by causing tumor regression. Dimethyl 2-fluoropropanedioate also reacts with luminol to produce chemiluminescence.
