3,5-Difluorobenzenesulfonamide is an organic compound that belongs to the class of sulfonylamides. It is a competitive inhibitor of hmg-coa reductase, which is the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis. 3,5-Difluorobenzenesulfonamide has been shown to inhibit the uptake of hydrogen chloride by brain cells and to have a protective effect on the central nervous system. This compound also has strong adsorptive properties. The adsorption kinetics of 3,5-difluorobenzenesulfonamide can be described by an adsorption isotherm with a comparator.
