3,5-Dichloro-2,4-difluoroaniline is a chemical that is used as an insecticide. It was first synthesized in the late 1800s and has been used for industrial purposes since the 1940s. 3,5-Dichloro-2,4-difluoroaniline is resistant to dehalogenation by chlorine and fluoride and has been shown to be able to kill insects such as ants, roaches, and fleas. The chemical also has a high yield of 95%. 3,5-Dichloro-2,4-difluoroaniline can be synthesized from chloroacetaldehyde or phosphorus pentachloride. This chemical can react with pyrethroid or acylation reaction molecules to produce a new compound that can be used as an insecticide.
