Descripción:2,6-Dibromo-4-fluorophenol is a synthetic chemical that is used as an anti-cancer agent. It can be synthesized from 2,6-dibromo-4-fluoroaniline and hydrobromic acid. This compound has electronwithdrawing properties and can be used to make other anti-cancer agents by reacting with oxychlorides or chlorides. 2,6-Dibromo-4-fluorophenol has been shown to inhibit the growth of abnormal cells in culture and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. In addition, it has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to DNA and preventing its synthesis.
