Descripción:Danoprevir is an inhibitor of the viral protease. It is used in combination with other antiviral drugs for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections. Danoprevir has been shown to inhibit a number of resistant mutants, including protease-resistant mutants, which may have contributed to its effectiveness against HCV. The drug inhibits the activity of other enzymes, such as HIV-1 protease and influenza virus NS1 proteinase. Danoprevir has also been shown to be effective against HCV infection in animal models.
