Descripción:Dynorphin A is a peptide that belongs to the class of opioid peptides. It acts as a kappa-opioid receptor agonist and is involved in the transmission of pain signals and other information from the central nervous system to the peripheral nervous system. Dynorphin A has been shown to inhibit the release of neurotransmitters, such as acetylcholine, dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. It also blocks the action of transmitters at postsynaptic membranes by binding to their receptors. Dynorphin A binds with high affinity to kappa-opioid receptors and can be used for treatment of heroin addiction and chronic pain.
