4-(Dipropylamino)benzaldehyde is a molecule that enhances the activity of aldophosphamide in assays. It is also an optical dye that has been used as a styryl dye for dialkylamino and all-trans retinoic acid. 4-(Dipropylamino)benzaldehyde has been shown to potently inhibit leukemia cells in vitro by uncompetitive inhibition, which may be due to its ability to bind with DNA. 4-(Dipropylamino)benzaldehyde also fluoresces brightly and can be used as a hl-60 cell marker.
