Descripción:2,6-Dichloropyridine-3-carboxylic acid is an inhibitor of histone deacetylase (HDAC), and it has been shown to be effective in treating autoimmune diseases, cancer, inflammatory diseases, and other disorders. This drug binds to the catalytic site of HDACs and blocks the removal of acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones. 2,6-Dichloropyridine-3-carboxylic acid has been shown to inhibit the glutamate receptor subtype that is responsible for pain transmission in mice. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its alkylthio group that can disrupt protein–protein interactions. 2,6-Dichloropyridine-3-carboxylic acid is a cavity inhibitor that binds to a cavity formed by two amides on proteins.
