Descripción:
Diethyl 2-aminoterephthalate (DEAT) is a chemical compound that has an aromatic ring. It has been used in experiments to elucidate the quadrupolar frequencies of hydrogen bonds and to study dipolar coupling. DEAT is activated by a low energy magnetic field at room temperature, which causes the phenylene protons to resonate at high frequency. This resonance can be detected by using spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The activation energy of DEAT is 20 kJ/mol, which is much lower than that of ethyl 2-aminoterephthalate (EAT), which has an activation energy of 50 kJ/mol.
