1,2,3,4,5,6-Hexahydro-1,5-methano-pyrido-[1,2-a][1,5]diazocin-8-one is a cholinergic drug that is used as a research tool in vitro. It has been shown to increase the concentration of acetylcholine in the synapse. It is also known as cytisine and varenicline. 1,2,3,4,5,6-Hexahydro-1,5-methano-pyrido-[1,2-a][1,5]diazocin-8-one binds to nicotinic receptors and stimulates them.
