Descripción:4,6-Dimethoxypyrimidine is an organic chemical compound that is used as a building block in the synthesis of other compounds. It has been shown to inhibit bacterial biosynthesis by binding to an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 4-hydroxyphenoxyacetic acid into 4-methoxybenzoic acid. The inhibition was found to be reversible and competitive with respect to substrate. This is a preliminary study and more research needs to be conducted in order to fully understand its mechanism of action.
