Daniellic acid inhibits the activity of transcription factors that are involved in the development and progression of cancer cells. It also inhibits the expression of proteins that promote tumor growth and angiogenesis, which are processes that allow tumors to grow by forming new blood vessels. Daniellic acid blocks the activity of transcription factors such as AP-1, NF-kappaB, STAT3, and STAT5, which are involved in the development and progression of cancer cells. In addition, it inhibits the expression of proteins such as COX2 and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor), which promote tumor growth and angiogenesis, processes that allow tumors to grow by forming new blood vessels.
