4-(Dibenzylamino)cyclohexanone is a stereoisomer that belongs to the group of amino ketones. It is a colourless solid with an amorphous structure. 4-(Dibenzylamino)cyclohexanone has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This substance also has been shown to act as an x-ray crystal for x-ray analysis in the solid state and in solution. The configuration of the molecule can be determined by x-ray crystallography and spectroscopy, but conformational changes are possible when it is in solution due to hydrogen bonding interactions with water molecules.
