Descripción:
2,5-Dimethoxyphenol is a naturally occurring compound that is found in the acetate extract of Hypholoma. It has been shown to be active oxygen species and reactive with methoxy groups, which may be due to its ability to oxidize fatty acids. 2,5-Dimethoxyphenol can be produced by acetoxylation or demethylation of phenols. The mechanism for 2,5-dimethoxyphenol's reduction of cellular damage has not yet been determined.
