• Descripción: 2,5-Dimethylpyrimidin-4-amine is a disulfide bond compound with a molecular weight of 177.2 g/mol. It has been shown to be efficient in reducing the levels of angiotensin II and angiotensin III in vitro and in vivo. 2,5-Dimethylpyrimidin-4-amine is also effective against skin cancer cells, which are resistant to most chemotherapeutic drugs. The mechanism of action for this drug is not known but may involve the inhibition of angiotensin receptors or the activation of toll-like receptors on cancer cells. It has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting transcription and protein synthesis through its effects on nuclear factor kappaB (NFκB).
