Descripción

1,2-Dichlorocyclohexane is a solvent that is used in the purification of organic compounds. It is a hydrogen bond donor and has been shown to be an effective agent for the removal of chloride from wastewater. This solvent can also be used to remove solutes from samples by lowering their polarity. 1,2-Dichlorocyclohexane can also be used to measure the deuterium isotope effect on chlorides as well as hydroxy groups in molecules. The solute molecule dipole moment is increased when this solvent is present, which may lead to changes in magnetic resonance spectroscopy signals.
