Descripción:4-Dimethylaminobenzoic acid isoamylester (4DMBA) is a sunscreen that blocks ultraviolet radiation. It has been shown to protect human skin cells from damage by UV-B radiation in the laboratory. 4DMBA prevents sunburn and skin cancer by absorbing or reflecting harmful UV rays before they can penetrate the skin. This compound is absorbed into the upper layer of the skin, where it protects against sunburn and other types of damage caused by ultraviolet radiation. It is also used as a screening agent for evaluating potential photosensitizing compounds.
