2,5-Dichloro-4-methylpyrimidine is a molecule that contains two isomers with different energies, enthalpies, and thermochemical properties. The experimental study of these isomers has been performed by high temperature calorimetry and gas phase microcalorimetry. The computation was studied by the experimental data obtained from the calorimetry. The experimental values for the heat capacities at constant pressure were determined to be 7.36±0.08 kJ/mol/K for 2,5-dichloro-4-methylpyrimidine (1) and 8.06±0.10 kJ/mol/K for 2,5-dichloro-4-(2-chloropropyl)pyrimidine (2). Experimental values for the heat capacity at constant volume were found to be 7.37±0.05 kJ/(mol·K) for 1 and 8.05±0.
