Descripción:
1,5-Diphenylpentan-3-amine is a potent antibiotic that has been shown to be active against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. 1,5-Diphenylpentan-3-amine has been shown to act as an aminoglycoside efflux pump inhibitor and membrane permeabilizer. The compound has also been found to have antibacterial activity against n-propyl ornithine, and amide amines. It is not active against the erythromycin resistant bacteria Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis.
