Descripción:δ-3-Carene is an α, β-unsaturated ketone that is produced by the cytochrome P450 enzyme. It can be found in a number of plants and oils, including peppermint, eucalyptus, and pine oil. δ-3-Carene has been shown to have synergistic effects with chemical pesticides such as permethrin when applied in combination. The chemical structure of δ-3-carene is asymmetric and it can be synthesized using a variety of experimental methods. The reaction mechanism for the production of δ-3-carene is unclear but most likely involves a chemical reaction between anhydrous sodium and an organic compound such as acetone or methanol. This reaction releases water vapor from the organic compound and generates heat.
