Descripción:9,10-Dihydroergostine is a natural product that is found in the bark of the roots of Ergostemon mexicanus. It has been shown to have a vasoconstrictive activity by inhibiting the uptake of noradrenaline and dopamine into vascular smooth muscle cells. 9,10-Dihydroergostine also inhibits the production of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid from tryptophan and prevents the conversion of tryptophan to serotonin in rat brain tissue. This drug has been shown to inhibit amine uptake and stimulate adrenergic receptors in pharmacological studies on rats.
