Descripción:
(E)-4-(Dimethylamino)but-2-enoic acid is a chemical that is selective for kinases. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and to prevent the development of cancer in animal models. This molecule also inhibits the growth of normal cells, which may be due to its ability to cause an acylation reaction with proteins. The reactive (E)-4-(dimethylamino)but-2-enoic acid reacts with hydrochloric acid or ethyl formate in a nucleophilic substitution reaction to produce aniline and acetic acid.
