4-(2-[6-(Dioctylamino)-2-naphthalenyl]ethenyl)-1-(3-sulfopropyl)pyridinium inner salt (NPS-L) is a fluorescent probe that binds to P2Y receptors, which are involved in the transmission of pain signals. NPS-L has been shown to bind selectively to cardiac tissue and is not detected in other tissues such as liver, kidney, or lung.
