Descripción:Dopentacontane is a long-chain phytochemical that has been isolated from the leaves of the Acacia tree. It is a member of the class of phenylcoumarins, which are benzene derivatives that contain a phenyl group and a coumarin ring. Dopentacontane has been studied for its effects on benzene toxicity in mice. The data showed that dopentacontane reduces the adverse effects of benzene exposure by decreasing oxidative stress and increasing antioxidant enzymes. This compound has also been shown to have magnetic properties, which may be due to its high molecular weight and planar structure. Infrared spectroscopy analysis revealed modifications in dopentacontane that are specific to the methylphenyl moiety, including changes in infrared absorption bands at 1750 cm-1 and 1640 cm-1.
