Descripción:
Dichlorophenylborane is a boron-containing compound that has the chemical formula BCl2. It is a colorless liquid with an unpleasant odor. Dichlorophenylborane is soluble in aromatic solvents and reacts with oxygen nucleophiles to form phenylboronic acid derivatives. This compound has been used for the synthesis of organic compounds, such as 3-fluoroindole and 4-chloroindole, which are important for cancer research. Dichlorophenylborane also reacts with hydrogen chloride to produce hydrogen bromide, which can be used in metathesis reactions.
