• Descripción: Desalkyl ebastine is a drug that inhibits the CYP2J2 enzyme and P-glycoprotein (P-gp) to increase the bioavailability of other drugs. It has been shown to have a high affinity for human cytochrome P450 2J2 (CYP2J2) and P-glycoprotein (P-gp). Desalkyl ebastine is used in wastewater treatment and biological treatment, where it can be used to reduce phosphodiesterase activity. It has been found to be metabolized by CYP3A4 and CYP1A2 enzymes in humans. The pharmacokinetics of desalkyl ebastine are complex because it is metabolized by multiple enzymes. Desalkyl ebastine also has anti-allergic properties that may be due to its ability to inhibit phosphodiesterase activity.
