Descripción:2,2-Dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide is a water-soluble compound with a high solubility in water and other organic solvents. It has been shown to have antimicrobial properties against Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis. 2,2-Dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide can be used as an additive in wastewater treatment to reduce the concentration of organic matter by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. This compound also has been shown to be effective as a biocide for disinfecting medical equipment or surfaces. 2,2-Dibromo-2-cyanoacetamide is not toxic to animals and humans, although it may cause skin irritation or eye damage.
