2,4-Dichlorobenzoyl cyanide is a synthetic chemical that is used as an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals. The synthesis of this chemical can be monitored by measuring the concentration of 2,4-dichlorobenzoyl cyanide using gas chromatography with electron capture detection (GC/ECD).
