• Descripción: 6,7-Dimethoxy-4-methylcoumarin is a natural substance that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity. It also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and interleukins. 6,7-Dimethoxy-4-methylcoumarin is able to inhibit the phosphorylation of LPS in vitro by binding to bacterial cell membrane surface lipopolysaccharides (LPS). In addition, 6,7-Dimethoxy-4-methylcoumarin inhibits the growth of some bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. This compound has been shown to be effective against some Gram positive bacteria such as Enterobacter aerogenes.
