Dyclonine hydrochloride is a water-soluble, biocompatible polymer that has shown to be effective in the treatment of chronic bronchial reactivity. The mechanism of action is unknown, but it is thought that this drug may act by blocking the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at nerve endings. Dyclonine hydrochloride is injected into the body as an injection solution and has been shown to inhibit microbial infections. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and coronary heart diseases.
