Dimethoxane is a chemical compound that has been shown to have chronic oral toxicity. It is also used as an analytical method for measuring fatty acids in animal tissues and has antimicrobial activity. Dimethoxane emits light when exposed to polarized light, which can be used for the detection of nitrogen atoms in molecules of organic compounds. Dimethoxane has not been shown to be carcinogenic in any animal or human studies.
