• Descripción: Dibenzyl dicarbonate is a β-amino acid that is an effective substrate for the asymmetric synthesis of α-amino acids. It can be catalyzed by modifiers such as chloride and sodium carbonate. The reaction mechanism involves the formation of a reactive enolate anion, which reacts with hydroxyl groups to form an acyloxy intermediate.
