• Descripción: 2,6-Dichloro-4-nitroanisole is an inhibitor of the enzyme cytochrome P450. This enzyme is involved in the metabolism of a number of drugs and other compounds that are found in the body. The drug acts by competing for oxygen, which is required for this metabolic process. 2,6-Dichloro-4-nitroanisole has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandins and histamine from arthritic cells, but does not affect the production of serotonin or formaldehyde. It also inhibits sinusoidal contractions in rat erythrocytes and has been shown to depress extracellular potassium flow rates.
