Descripción:5,5'-Dithiobis(1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole) is a corrosion inhibitor that is used in electrochemical methods to study interactions between ions and molecules. It can be used as an inhibitor molecule in the desulfurization of coal. The molecular geometry of 5,5'-dithiobis(1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole) is centrosymmetric with a dihedral angle of 120°. This compound has been shown to have strong interaction with chloride ions. 5,5'-Dithiobis(1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole) is also used to inhibit the corrosion of metals by chlorine atoms.
