The particle is composed of two layers, an inner layer of ethylene diamine and an outer layer of malonic acid. This polymer has shown to be effective in the treatment of malignant tumors in rats. 2,3-Dichlorobenzene-1-carbothioamide also possesses quinoline derivatives that are known to have anticancer activities. In addition, this polymer has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to their cell walls and preventing them from synthesizing proteins needed for cell division.
