Descripción:N,N-Dibenzylamine is a pyrimidine compound that is used as a model system to study the fatty acid-pyrimidine interactions. The iminodibenzyl group on N,N-dibenzylamine reacts with the ethylene diamine moiety in a reaction mechanism that is analogous to the reactions of natural nucleic acids. This reaction can be used to determine the water vapor pressure, which is useful in predicting locomotor activity and pharmacokinetic properties. This compound has been found to have antidepressant effects when administered orally in rats.
