Diethyl 2-aminomalonate HCl is a chelate ligand that is used in asymmetric synthesis. It binds to metal ions and forms complexes, which are involved in many biological processes. Diethyl 2-aminomalonate HCl has been shown to be an effective antidiabetic agent, with effects on the liver and pancreas. It also has an effect on the immune system by preventing the growth of bacteria and viruses. The drug is also able to inhibit the development of cancer cells by binding to monoclonal antibodies that are expressed on their surface. Diethyl 2-aminomalonate HCl can also act as a growth factor for cells, as well as having antimicrobial properties via its cation channel activity.
