3,3-Dimethylacrylic acid is a natural compound that is found in the human body. This compound has been shown to be involved in energy metabolism and the production of kinetic energy. The inorganic acid form of 3,3-dimethylacrylic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. The basic structure of 3,3-dimethylacrylic acid is cyclic peptide. This compound can be prepared using solid phase microextraction with trifluoroacetic acid and hydrogen bonding with tiglic acid or it can be synthesized from fatty acids or alcohol residues.
