Descripción:2,4-Dichloro butyrophenone (2,4-DBP) is a chlorinated phenol that is used as a herbicide. It is also used in the synthesis of other pesticides, such as phenothrin and triazole. 2,4-DBP has been detected in the environment as a result of its use as an agricultural pesticide. It can be found in soil and sediment samples at concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 0.1 parts per million (ppm). 2,4-DBP is stable under alkaline conditions and does not react with water or most other chemicals.
