Descripción:N,N'-Dimethylquinacridone is a red fluorescent dye that has optical properties. It can be used in optical devices such as lasers and light-emitting diodes. In the presence of an acid catalyst, this molecule forms hydrogen bonds with other molecules or ions to form chelate rings. These rings are stable and can be used as a catalyst for chemical reactions. N,N'-Dimethylquinacridone has been shown to inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential in thp-1 cells and to increase the number of excitons. It also emits light when polymer films are exposed to ultraviolet radiation.
