Descripción:1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycerol (DAG) is a lipid molecule that is found in the cell membrane and can be used as an antimicrobial agent. DAG has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to their fatty acid chains. It also has been shown to bind to the receptor P2Y6, which is involved in mediating inflammatory responses, and inhibits its activity. This drug may be useful for treating diseases such as atherosclerosis and diabetes mellitus type 2.
