Descripción:
Disuccinimidyl sebacate (DS) is a ligand that can be used to modify proteins. It binds to the protein by forming a covalent linkage with the protein's cysteine residue, which can be activated with carbonyldiimidazole. DS competes with other ligands for binding to the same protein and its affinity can be modulated by changing pH or salt concentration. Disuccinimidyl sebacate has been shown to be an efficient conjugating agent for proteins and is useful in identifying protein interactions.
