• Descripción: 2,5-Diphenylpyrrolidine is an enantiopure compound that has been shown to be a useful intermediate in the synthesis of imines. The proton on the carbon adjacent to the nitrogen is labile and can be displaced by other nucleophiles. 2,5-Diphenylpyrrolidine reacts with amines to form N-substituted morpholines. This reaction is selective for primary amines over secondary amines and tertiary amines. It also has been used in the preparation of metallacycles as well as organometallic compounds.
