• Descripción: Dodecafluoro-1,6-diiodohexane is a proton conductor that is made up of a mixture of perfluorinated and telechelic molecules. It has been shown to be effective in the transport of protons across membranes. In vitro studies have shown that dodecafluoro-1,6-diiodohexane inhibits the proliferation of breast cancer cells and also induces apoptosis. The mechanism for this effect may be due to its ability to inhibit cycle analysis by interfering with the synthesis of cellular DNA and RNA, which prevents cell division. Dodecafluoro-1,6-diiodohexane also shows strong hydrogen bonding properties with water and other polar substances.
