Descripción

Diphenyl(methyl)sulfonium tetrafluoroborate (DPSBF) is a cationic photoinitiator that can be used in conjunction with a polymerizable monomer to form an inorganic polymer. This polymer is useful for antireflection coatings, as it is reactive to radiation and has an average particle diameter of less than 10 microns. DPSBF initiates the reaction by abstracting a proton from the hydroxyl group of the monomer, which then reacts with another monomer molecule to form an ester bond. The resulting polymeric material is highly cross-linked and insoluble in water, making it resistant to chemical reactions that would otherwise break down the material.
