Información del producto
- 2,2-Dichloro-Butan
- Butane,2,2-Dichloro-
2,2-Dichlorobutane is a colorless liquid that has a boiling point of -26 °C and is used as a solvent for dyes. When 2,2-dichlorobutane is heated, it can form dichloroethane and hydrogen chloride gases. The equilibration of the two isomers in 2,2-dichlorobutane can be analyzed by using vibrational frequencies. This substance is nucleophilic and reacts with chloride gas to form chlorine. The chlorine gas then reacts with hydrogen chloride to produce hydrochloric acid. 2,2-Dichlorobutane has been found to be an effective solvent for organic compounds that dissolve in water or alcohols such as fats, oils and waxes.
