Descripción:9,10-Di(1-naphthyl)anthracene is a fluorescent dye that can be used in microemulsions. It has been shown to have good yields and efficiencies when irradiated with ultraviolet light. 9,10-Di(1-naphthyl)anthracene is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, chloroform, and carbon tetrachloride. The fluorescence of 9,10-Di(1-naphthyl)anthracene is quenched by oxygen and the presence of strong oxidizing agents. The quantum yield of the compound was found to be 0.0011 at room temperature and 0.0014 at 100°C.
