Dimethoxydimethylsilane is a chemical compound that is synthesized by the reaction of sodium carbonate and magnesium chloride. It has high values for particle size, light signal, thermal expansion, and light emission. Dimethoxydimethylsilane has been shown to react with water vapor to produce hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. This reaction mechanism is similar to the Haber-Bosch process used in industrialization of ammonia production. The hydroxyl group on dimethoxydimethylsilane can be cleaved by human serum, which may lead to an adverse effect on human health.
