Descripción:Dodecylamine HCl is a chemical inhibitor of energy metabolism that inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids. It is used in the treatment of infectious diseases, such as malaria and tuberculosis. Dodecylamine HCl is a molecule consisting of 12 carbon atoms with an ethylene chain. This inhibitor binds to the enzyme acyl-CoA synthase, which catalyzes the production of fatty acids from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA. The optimum pH for dodecylamine HCl is around 7.0, but it can be solubilized in water at higher pH levels due to its intramolecular hydrogen bonds. Dodecylamine HCl has been shown to have a particle size distribution between 10-200 nm in size and can be used as a nanoparticulate composition for drug delivery systems with thermodynamic data.!--END-->
