Descripción:4,4-Dimethylcyclohexanone is a synthetic compound that has been used as a substrate for tissue culture. It is a competitive inhibitor of chloride ion and reacts with chlorine to form an oxetane. 4,4-Dimethylcyclohexanone is believed to be the precursor for many pharmaceuticals, such as the anti-cancer drug trifluoroacetic acid. This compound has also been shown to inhibit cancer cells in vitro in a stepwise manner by reacting with reactive organic compounds.
